This book looks right up our alley—we’ve just learned how to make wishes on dandelions and are hunting for them every afternoon. Putting on hold at the library now!
What a beautiful book! All my babies are spring babies (#4 was born in January, but I live in California, so same, same) so I always equate those newborn months with long stroller walks. I can imagine how hard it would be to be cooped up in winter.
I'm not sure I could write a children's book, but if I did, I would call it "There's a dinosaur in my shoe." When my oldest was little, he was obsessed with dinosaurs, and I found them all over the house. I thought it would be a good idea for a book where the parent finds a dinosaur in a shoe or bath tub or dresser drawer and when they say, "there's a dinosaur in my shoe." the kid says, "That's not a shoe. That's a cave!" or a rocket ship or boat, etc and then the parent gets to play pretend with the kid... Silly I know. Maybe one day I'll write it and give it to my son if he ever decides to have kids. :)
Anyway, thank you for giving me the excuse to think about that again. I always love your posts!
Oh thank you, Emily! And I for one would be your biggest supporter if you did come out with "There's a Dinosaur in My Shoe" (there could not be a better name for a kid's book). So if you need a nudge to get cracking on this, here it is! 😂
Sri! Thank you so much for having me. This was so fun:) (Also my first was an early December baby and I so hear you on those early spring walks.) (Also, also thank you for saying my work space is cute! I feel like the cat and books help distract from the dumpster fire vibes...)

How adorable! Now, I want to go out on a fairy walk and make some dandelion wishes too.
This book looks so cute! My daughter is very into fairies at the moment, so we will for sure be checking this out!
I think she would love it!

Lovely! Thanks for this.
Thank you, Mary!
This looks beautiful! I love the story behind it. I miss our Covid walks.
It's so lovely and heartwarming!

Thank YOU for your endless generosity. And I see no dumpster fire vibes anywhere :D
Next time I'll zoom out.
