I love the whole concept of your Substack! There are definitely recommendations here I'm going to follow. :) Thank you so much for subscribing to mine - I'm so happy to have found you!
I have explained to my children what I do many times but really all they can say is, "Mommy works for the internet." Which isn't *entirely* false but it nowhere near completely true, either 🤷🏻♀️ It's okay, though -- my job is very difficult to explain and even my own parents still don't understand it.
Now, I'm interested in learning more! I think we should do a riddle where everyone describes their job in riddle format and the rest of us have to figure it out.
These are such great finds! The covers of Night Shift and WORK are so clever! I've explained my job to my 6-year-old and she seems to get it. My son thinks I just work on my "puter" all day.
Bea and Mr. Jones is still and always amazing
Seriously! It charmed then and it continues to charm now!

No one would ever guess mine -- even the real, straightforward explanation is a riddle for most people 😂 -- but yes, what a game!

Haha, so they BOTH understand what you do 😂
So fun! Thanks for this list!
Thank you, Mary!
