Love these recs and ways we can support critical thinking from early on.

I'm going to look for the others but 7 Ate 9 was one of my (then) 4 year old's favourite books, and still enjoyed now. I'm sure a lot of it goes over his head but I enjoy the puns! Have you read the other book where the capital letters go missing?

It’s on my hold list! But the puns are just chef’s kiss in 7 ate 9. I also love the noir-esque look and feel to them.

This is a very inspiring post—thank you for laying this out so thoughtfully and for challenging us to think critically with our kids! Love the recs for the littler guys and will be looking for them at the library. I’m just starting to see some of these sorts of thoughts and conversations emerge with my four year old, so these will be fun to explore together!

That should make for some fun and interesting conversations! My daughter will sometimes make an observation that totally awes me in its simplicity.

Great recommendations and also honestly, a helpful reminder to myself to think more critically!
